Second Grade Winter Quarter Curriculum (Book Only)

This book contains step-by-step instructions for teaching children the Bible lessons, Bible truths, and memory verses. Activities in each lesson are designed to include all learning styles as well as to address the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of first and second graders. All song sheets, craft and activity pages, and take-home card pages are included in the lesson books.

Lessons studied in Winter Quarter, from the Book of Acts, include Philip preaching in Samaria, Philip and the Ethiopian, Peter bringing Tabitha back to life, and an angel leading Peter out of prison. Also included are lessons on the life of Samuel Morris. These lessons help children see how the Biblical truths that were true for the early Christians are also true for us. To tell the Christmas story, we use the book, From God with Love by Mack Thomas.

For the Second Grade lessons, we encourage you, if at all possible, to provide enough copies of Condensed Bible Stories for Primaries so that each child (or at least two or three sharing a book) may follow along as you read the lesson.

The Second Grade curriculum is also suitable for first graders.
